Carbon CD is handy tool that is able to make backup copies of your music or data CDs. The app lets you create perfect 1:1 copies or save your CDs to your computer. Carbon CD has a familiar interface akin to Clone CD, however the biggest difference between the two is that Carbon CD does not currently support DVD.
Carbon CD is fairly functional, with a number of different tasks available at your disposal. For instance, you can use it to create a disc image from a CD, to burn a disc image to a CD in order to clone or create a 1:1 copy of a CD. You can master CDs and disc images, rip songs from audio CDs, and erase CD-RW discs. You can also view information about your optical drive (CD reader/writer).

Carbon CD presents a clear and uncluttered interface, with several large buttons to undertake various tasks. The look can be changed with supported skins, via the interface sub-menu of the main settings menu.
Overall, Carbon CD is adequate at what is does. It has a simple interface, it is very lightweight and consumes hardly any system resources and is very easy to navigate and use. If you need to clone data and audio CDs, create and burn disc images, and rip audio CDs, then Carbon CD may be what you are looking for? The only drawback as far as we can see, is that it does not support DVDs.
