How to Scan Photos With Vue Scanner and Kodachrome

You have a pretty good scanner, but sometimes to scan photos into your computer, you want software such as VueScan from Hamrick Systems. This software is very compatible with all flat bed and even film scanners, so you can use it on your existing computer without making any modifications to your computer or already installed scanner software. To scan your photos in either format, you first need to go to the VueScan software control panel and then install the software. The software will then prompt you to insert the digital camera so that it can read the memory card and begin scanning.
When you insert the digital camera, the software prompts you for a name and a password, then it will launch and begin scanning your photo. Once the scanning process is complete, you will be given the opportunity to view your newly scanned photo in either JPEG or PDF format. There are other digital flat bed scanners on the market that allow you to do this, but you usually get a much nicer looking result with a Vuescan, which is my personal opinion. If you really want the highest quality results out of your scanner, then you definitely want a Vuescan.
I think that the best thing about the Vuescan is how easy they are to use. You don't have to be a technical geek to use Vuescan, it's very simple and intuitive, which I found extremely enjoyable. I was able to scan one hundred and twenty-five images with my Kodachrome and my Hamrick software in under two hours! Even though it's not always going to be as fast as the more high-end scanners, Vuescan makes great general scans and it's certainly worth every penny.
