This is a social app that lets you post and share videos and gifs to various communities. Your media floats like a Facebook story and is viewable by any audience member. There are a couple of tools to edit and enhance your videos, but they seem lacklustre.
Lacks video editing tools
You can record a video with the app and post it right away, or upload one from your phone. Since the editing features are lacking, it’s better to create your videos using a different programme.
The interface is easy to navigate, albeit unappealing. It looks cluttered due to the size of each button. All the content is in Hindi and other languages specific to India and Sri Lanka.
Taxing on your device
You get to earn money for your content. Gain enough followers, and you’ll receive coins, which converts into cash. However this feature is only available if you post in the Hindi community.
For its small size, this application consumes an outrageous amount of memory. If you plan on running long sessions, make sure to do it on a newer Android (9.0 and later) to help prevent the app freezing or crashing.
Long upload times
Tons of clips and stories get uploaded every day on VidStatus. Uploading can take a long time, and longer on 4G. Sometimes, the file would pause near completion and never finishes uploading. When it comes to sharing statuses, there are many better options.
