MameUI: Enjoy the games of your childhood again

MameUI is a GUI version of the Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator (MAME), designed to recreate the hardware of classic arcade game systems on modern computers. With MameUI, you can relive the nostalgia of playing arcade classics such as Double Dragon, Outrun, and Pacman.
Originally known as Mame32, MameUI was first developed in 1997 by Chris Kirmse and was the first MAME port for the Windows platform. However, development of MameUI has since ceased, and the program is now in maintenance mode with no active updates.
While MameUI has been surpassed by IV/Play, a new desktop-oriented GUI front-end for MAME, it still remains an excellent emulator for arcade classics. However, its lack of further development and the arrival of IV/Play make it somewhat obsolete in today's gaming landscape.
