It plays similarly to other titles in the genre, such as ALT CITY: Open world games 3D as world-famous Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and its bizarre clone Grand Shift Auto. In this case, you play a character closely resembling The Joker.
In a classic rags-to-riches story, you start at the bottom and get money by engaging in various criminal activities. In this case, your character accidentally kills the mafia boss’ brother, and he’s out for revenge. Your task is to survive and thrive in the eponymous city.
As a sandbox game, Mad City 2 Big Open Sandbox lets you explore every nook and cranny of Mad City, which is huge. There are many open locations to visit, complete with enemies to defeat.
An expansive world
Besides killing enemies, you can also accumulate real estate, which expands your influence in the city. There is, of course, a plethora of vehicles available that you can purchase.
Good graphics
Mad City 2 Open Sandbox is clearly inspired by the GTA series, and it doesn’t shy away from that. Character models, weapons, vehicles and buildings could perfectly fit any GTA game. The city is varied, colourful, and populated with NPCs and things to do.
That said, it’s not just a clone. There’s enough personality here, including a unique atmosphere. This is mainly set by distinctive atmospheric lighting, which makes the game world visually appealing. There are good visual effects for gunshots and surface reflections, too.
A good alternative
Mad City 2 Big Open Sandbox won’t win any awards for originality, but it is a good choice when you’re tired of the same GTA playthroughs and story. It works well and lets you follow your own adventures if you want to. Sounds, graphics and visual effects are all on par with games of this genre for Android.
It also brings good ideas from other games to the table, such as the possibility of purchasing vehicles and real estate. This brings a sense of progression that other titles lack. This game could keep you entertained for a long time.
