Free FNF demo mod for Windows
Screenshots
Friday Night Funkin' Evil Mod for Windows is an early access free demo of yet another mod for the trending Friday Night Funkin’.
The hero of the piece is the one and only Pico. Having previously faced a plethora of opponents, including rock stars in Starlight Mayhem, aliens in Friday Night Fever and Girlfriend's father in Friday Night Funkin', he's now up against two dark, shapeless embodiments of evil. As always, you’ll have to be quick with your fingers to keep up the rhythm of the music if Pico's going to have any chance of surviving.
Gameplay
As this mod is still in development and an extremely early sample, you can only play Week Two. Although there are other weeks present, trying to play one of them is likely to crash the game.
As usual, you’ll face off in a singing contest against your opponent while pressing the arrow keys to match the tune. As you succeed, the points meter goes in your favor. You’ll need the most points to win the round.
Sharing mod assets
In the spirit of collaboration among developers, PhantomFear helpfully points out that assets from the mod, such as music files and sprites, are available to other developers for their own mods.
Missing features
In addition to only Week Two being playable at the time of this writing, the mod has some noteworthy omissions in its current form. Many of the features you've probably become accustomed to seeing in Friday Night Funkin' mods are absent.
Features such as easy mode and hard mode aren’t currently included in the Friday Night Funkin' Evil mod.
Security
Unusually for a developer of a Friday Night Funkin’ mod, PhantomFear warns that downloading it from unofficial download sites could result in you unwittingly downloading malware along with the game. Therefore, it is important you download this mod from a trustworthy site or App Store.
Take on evil with music
Friday Night Funkin' Evil Mod for Windows may be limited at the moment, but the developer's work to date maintains the quality that we've come to expect.
As long as you make allowance for this being an early access version of the mod, there's no reason not to download it and give it a try. The developer undoubtedly welcomes any feedback.
