WinBoard Portable is a versatile chess application for Windows, offering various versions of the game like international, Chinese, Japanese, and Makruk. Whether you prefer playing against a chess engine or against global opponents via Internet Connection Sharing (ICS), this program caters to your chess needs. The interface is user-friendly; simply familiarize yourself with the rules, select your preferred game mode, and start playing. You can easily switch between playing as white or black. Utilizing your mouse, you can click on pieces to see available moves highlighted on the board. With a five-minute time limit per move, WinBoard Portable also provides an evaluation graphic to help you assess your gameplay strategy.
