Sequel to the famed Plants vs Zombies, the second iteration in the series builds on the same tower defence system that made the first game famous while doing it better.
Efficient UI
The designers made this game specifically for touch screens, giving a smooth feel for all gameplay. EA’s attention to detail causes the slick feeling to carry through all of the time. The adaptation for the smartphone takes account of everything, making it easy to play.
Improvements
As this is the second in the series, improvements are a part of the game. The essentials of the game don’t change, but new zombies and plants were added. However, this addition provides a variety of changes in settings allowing you to play in the past. Overall, the series remains true to its nature.
Payment and bugs
The most recent updates have introduced a measure of bugs into the system. When updating the app, former purchases are lost. EA also has an infamous pay-to-play mentality, requiring the spending of a lot of money to get good or remove the incessant adds that plague the program. Finally, downloading the newest version is a hassle as it keeps bugging out.
Addictive zombie killer
Plants vs Zombies 2 has built on the solid foundation of the first. It isn’t very innovative in its design and function, but it does provide an improvement to the predecessor. If you liked the first game, it would be great to get the second one if you’re willing to work through bugs.
