How to Chat on Windows Mail

In case you don't know, Pandion is a popular instant messenger for Windows that allows you to chat with your friends using your MSN, Yahoo or MSN Messenger account. It also provides a rich text editor and allows you to share files with other users. This is mostly used for chatting on Internet services such as IRC, Xanga or MySpace, however, it is also possible to download this application and install it on your computer so that you can use it even if you have a Windows machine. However, this will not allow you to use Windows internet mail.
To chat on a Windows mail server, you have the option of either installing the third-party POP3/SMTP server software on your computer, or use Windows IMAP and Windows POP/SMTP server software. However, in this article, we'll be discussing how to chat on Pandion and use Windows mail to do so. To access your Windows IMAP account, go to the Start Menu at the bottom left-hand corner and click on "Run". A box will appear where you should enter the following command: "msconfig" (without the quotes). You will then see an icon for "Search" and type "mail" in the search box and hit enter.
Once the above step was successfully completed, you will then see a window with a default message stating that your account is new and you are allowed to create and edit email messages. At this point, you should not change anything else except for deleting all the messages that were already sent. When you have finished this, go to the "Contacts" tab and you should see your email address listed. Click on the "send" button and you will be able to read all the new messages that were just received from that address.
