This app not only records your voice but also transcribes it in real-time. It can identify the type of noise you’re recording and assign a label to it. The range is decent, but when you’re in a mixed setting, it has some issues filtering the sounds. Recorder is only available for Pixel users.
Automatic transcript
Recorder will turn your voice into text, and you can save them straight into Google Drive. This is convenient since you don’t have to use your phone’s storage. It’s best to use it somewhere quiet where the single voice you record is the focus of the recording, rather than a conversation.
The interface is slick and pleasing to the eye. There’s one button to record, and another that lets you see the files. On the screen is the display of the type of sound you’re recording. The sound wave changes colour depending on the label. That feature might seem unnecessary, but still very cool.
Unable to edit recordings
It allows you to search for certain texts and phrases within the transcript, and they’re highlighted. One thing this app needs is the ability to edit the recordings. There is an option to repeat a particular interval, which is nice.
Sharing options
When you want to share your recordings, you can choose to send only the audio or text or both. This feature may not work as intended if you’re using the APK file of the app. The transcribing function won’t work, either, if it’s not an original version for the Pixel.
