Stellar Photo Repair is a great little app that has been designed to repair* corrupt or unreadable JPEG files, which cannot be opened by an image editor. It is also able to extract thumbnails of those images. Key Features include: Preview files after scanning. Repairs corrupt and damaged JPEG or JPG files. Supports Windows 10/8.1/8/7/Vista/XP and Windows Server 2008. Recovers thumbnails of damaged JPEG files. The great thing about Stellar Photo Repair is that it is very simple to use. When you run the app, you are presented with two options in the main window; 'Repair JPEG files', and 'Extract thumbnails'. If you choose to repair JPEG files, the process can take some time, depending upon the number of images and the degree of damage to them. Once completed, the repaired images are displayed in a separate window, to be previewed and saved accordingly. The second option is a great feature when a large number of corrupted files need to be recovered, as viewing thumbnails helps to spot which of the images should be recovered and which can be discarded. Overall, Stellar Photo Repair is a lightweight app that consumes a small amount of system resources.
