Days Bygone - Castle Defense is a free castle defence game where you defend yourself and your castle against an endless number of enemy waves. The game starts slow but becomes quite intense as it progresses.
Days Bygone is unique, but does resemble other games in the tower defence genre. This includes the extremely popular Plants vs. Zombies game and the indie game known as ZRevolution. All of these games are mainly for the casual gamer.
Gameplay
As you complete each wave, you’ll get gold and elixir, which you can use to improve your stats, discover spells and learn new skills. In addition, the game boasts some quirky point and shoot mechanics and a whole range of weapons to unlock.
You’ll discover over 15 different spells, over 20 unique weapons, more than 25 valuable skills and around 20 heroes who will come to your aid. Your health drops as enemies damage your castle, so keep an eye on it. You’ll also have a limited amount of mana that you can use each round.
There are tons of different enemies to fight against, with intermittent intervention from much stronger opponents, including the titans. It’ll be a challenge, but as long as you progress with the waves, it’s a challenge that you can handle.
Game modes
There are two different game modes that you can enjoy. First, you can take part in dungeon defence so that you can get keys. You can also enjoy epic adventures where you’ll uncover fossils as you go on expeditions.
Join a guild
Play with friends or an established group online. Join a guild, face off against friends and climb the competitive leaderboard.
Survive the waves
Days Bygone is an excellent game for those who appreciate castle defence games. It’s a lot of fun, with a seemingly endless amount of waves and content. Upgrade your defences, buy new equipment and hold your own against the enemies, bosses and titans.
