Campaign Commander Mod is a free patch for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption that adds a new story, faction, and items to the original game expansion. With humans colonising planets, you inadvertently start a war with an alien group called the Covenant. You can choose between defending your place as the humans or obliterating the newcomers as the aliens.
If you enjoy games set in this universe, you can also try LEGO Star Wars, Angry Birds Star Wars and Star Wars Battlefront. The main difference is that Campaign Commander Mod is not licensed by Lucas Arts and stands as an unofficial mod to an existing game. As a result, you’ll play a different storyline with new cities and weapons.
Meet the Covenant
In Star Wars: Empire at War, you play a real-time strategy game with the Rebels and the Empire as the main factions. The Forces of Corruption expansion saw the introduction of the Zann Consortium, a new group you could play as or against. Campaign Commander Mod adds the Covenant, an alien race that isn’t happy with humans colonising their sacred planets.
New areas and weapons
The mod introduces new planets, the ones that the Covenant considers sacred. In addition, the developer’s notes for Campaign Commander Mod mention that Australia on Earth is one of the bases that helps in the battle as one of the locations. Finally, new weapons and items are added for the Covenant, presenting an exhilarating experience.
Improved graphics and gameplay
Besides the new faction and weapons, Campaign Commander Mod delivers improved graphics to the game expansion. Some of the gameplay elements also have improvements, fixing some of the original issues. You’ll also enjoy the new buildings and environments added with the mod.
Save or conquer
Campaign Commander Mod takes you on a new real-time strategy adventure with the Covenant and stunning locations. It’s up to you if you want to play as the humans or aliens, choosing which side you prefer.
The planets present new bases and technology, giving you a new Star Wars experience. You’ll spend hours admiring the scenery as you either destroy the humans on the sacred lands or defend them against the Covenant.
