ThinkFree Office is a freeware office suite which enables you to open and edit files, spreadsheets and even presentations just like you would in Microsoft Word. ThinkFree Office also behaves and looks like MS Office, in fact it almost looks like MS Word. In some regards it may have even copied it right, and in fact when I installed the free trial version of ThinkFree Office it tried to load up like MS Word, but then would often close down unexpectedly with a message stating that your computer can't recognise your operating system. It also has a Graphical User Interface (GUI) which is the same as Microsoft Office, which will make using it easier for new users. It comes with over 45 templates that enable you to create professional looking documents quickly and easily.
ThinkFree Office gives you the ability to import PDF files, and Word documents, and PDF files from different sources. If you want to edit files in ThinkFree you simply select the file from the source you want to edit and choose "import", then click OK. ThinkFree office also comes complete with a powerful writing application which allows you to write documents, write reports, prepare presentations and enter data in almost any text format you can think of - including plain text. ThinkFree Office comes with a password manager which will prevent you from having to remember a password for the document storage and editing facilities. It also comes with a calendar, which enables you to keep track of appointments, meetings, birthdays and even appointments which are not supposed to be public.
ThinkFree Office is a great tool for teaching students, home workers, teachers and even businesses to use online. If you want to save documents or presentations to a web-based server, or share them with others, then ThinkFree Office is definitely the product for you. You can even use it on a laptop to do work while you travel. If you want to download videos and music to your ThinkFree Office system you only need to drag and drop files from your computer onto your web browser. You will instantly be able to view, edit and search for your files.
