Telemundo is a Spanish-language channel of NBC Universal Cable's English language television service. Like other Telemundo channels, it can be viewed through the Windows Live Network application or via mobile devices like Blackberry, Nokia, and Android phones. Telemundo is distributed by NBC Universal Media LLC. In its second season, it is also distributed in various other languages, including French, Portuguese, Korean, and Chinese.
In May 2021, the Telemundo network launched a mobile web application for iPhone and Android which allows viewers to access the Spanish-language version of their favorite Telemundo shows and even make recordings of their favorite programs. The network also features various recap episodes of its various shows, which can be viewed online by mobile users. This application has been especially designed for the iPhone, with an interface that follows the familiar interface and user experience of iPhones. However, the Android application does not utilize the iPhone's unique features, such as multitasking and pinch-to-resume functionality.
In May 2021, Telemundo expanded its lineup to include English programming in addition to Spanish. In August 2021, the station began telecasting the English version of the popular soap opera L.A. Law. It is the first American show to be aired in Spain. In addition, in January 2021, the station became one of the largest cable news networks in the world, reaching more than 2.2 million viewers across the globe. In November 2021, Telemundo was ranked number six among the most popular cable news stations in the U.S. Among other programming, it offers travel, home, and garden, children's programming, news, sports, history, education, and several other news segments.
