Give Me Strength, developed by James Poole, is a free Windows simulation for anyone wanting to explore their consciousness while playing a game. You can see the game from the developer's vision, and surf through the thoughts and concerns while interacting in a 3-D environment.
Every day, our heads are inundated with many different worries. This game allows you to face and address those thoughts with a form of meditative gaming. You can pinpoint a thought amongst your many concerns, and then pause, reflect, listen to and visualise your relationship with it. For other simulation games, you can try Farming Simulator and Gears Simulator.
Game storyline
You enter the game facing many different models of the same game character babbling over one another each with a different thought process. It is impossible to pinpoint anyone's thoughts in the main interface as you have to find the person who is speaking said thought before you can hear and address it.
Address the thought with a meditative setup, or forget it and move on to the next one. Cover more conversations through the game and find out the personality of the character by piecing together those thoughts and conversations that are present.
Game features
The game is downloadable free of charge. However, there is a ‘name your own price’ payment option to make sure the developers are rewarded for their time and effort to make this game. Give Me Strength comes with an original soundtrack by Laura Ryder. The entire playtime is about 30 minutes and you can use your mouse and keyboard to play it.
Meditative game for relaxation
Give Me Strength is an experimental game about the developer’s daily thoughts. You can select from a variety of different concerns and worries that can pop up in anyone’s day to day life. Then, you have the chance to listen to those thoughts while a soothing soundtrack keeps you relaxed.
Once you have addressed a concern, you can zoom in to choose a different worry from the many available on the game's interface. For added benefit, you can take your time and do this in a meditative manner by hearing the thought and processing it before moving to the next one.
