Dream League Soccer 2020 is part of a series of soccer games by First Touch. This version allows you to build your dream soccer team from over 3,500 FIFPro™ licensed players. The game has also upgraded the users’ experience with 3D motion-captured player moves, in-game commentary, and team customizations.
Features
Dream League Soccer gives you control of selecting top soccer players and grouping them into the best possible team you can imagine. This will not be the case at the beginning of the game, though. The first team you will assemble will consist of random players. Although the game will randomly generate a team for you, you will get to choose who will be captain.
As the game progresses, you will be able to assign players to your team and build your own soccer empire. This will include putting up your own stadium, medical facilities, training grounds, and commercial spaces. Moreover, DLS 2020 has added new characters to the gameplay. You can hire coaches to develop the players’ physical and technical skills as well as agents to scout top talent in the transfer market.

Once you have your team on the field, focus on shooting the ball instead of defending your goal. By using an offensive strategy, you decrease your chances of getting a yellow card and increase your player’s ability to score. You can compete against the game’s A.I. or you can compete against players from around the world. The Dream League Online mode allows you to play against other users in real-time. This will give you a chance to compete in the Dream League Soccer’s Global Leaderboard.
Setbacks
Although First Touch Games has upgraded the DLS 2020’s gameplay, there is a lag between your control and the player’s reaction. The rigid motion of their limbs makes shooting and tackling inaccurate. Another major change is the career mode. Previous versions of the game allow you to play it offline. But in Dream League Soccer 2020, career mode will require an internet connection or mobile data to play.
Developers of DLS has exchanged these features for a new one. First Touch Games has added gems as a new form of currency. You will need these to unlock formations and change kits. With the addition of gems, you will have to play the game longer to be able to upgrade both individual players and your team.
Lacking notable features
New additions to Dream League Soccer 2020 seem to have cost developers more necessary features. Its most major set back is becoming more dependent on an internet connection. Although there are many mobile games that require WiFi or data to play, fans of the Dream League Soccer series have been used to playing Career Mode offline.
These setbacks do not take away the satisfaction you get from creating a successful team from scratch. From controlling each player’s movements to making major decisions for your soccer empire, the work that you put into the game will reap valuable rewards.
