SoMud: Cross Platform P2P Client

SoMud is a free cross-platform multi-language P2P client that offers a feature-packed experience for file sharing enthusiasts. With an embedded media player and the ability to search, download, and even play web videos within its interface, SoMud provides a convenient way to access and preview media files while they are being downloaded. The download speeds are impressive, although they may vary depending on your connection and the number of peers connected.
One unique feature of SoMud is its capability to record desktop or screen activity, including audio and webcam images, which can then be shared with other peers. Additionally, the P2P wizard allows users to create their own torrents, and there is even a parental control feature to filter specified keywords and lock specified content.
However, it's worth mentioning that SoMud lacks the simple and slick interface of other P2P clients like uTorrent. It is also a rather large file, taking up over 100MB of storage. Another drawback is that the installation automatically opens the developer's homepage in your browser, which may be inconvenient for some users. Additionally, downloads can sometimes take a while to start, and the floating icon feels unnecessary considering there is already access to the interface from the Menu Bar and Dock.
Despite these minor drawbacks, SoMud is an interesting P2P client that offers some unique features and may appeal to users who want more control over their P2P downloading experience.
