Dawn Chorus is a free downloadable visual novel for Mac. The gameplay is nonlinear and the story's path depends on the decisions you make.
In the game, you’ve signed up for a science camp in Norway. You’ll be staying in a guest house high above the Arctic Circle. You'll meet interesting characters, and just like in the real world, everybody has their own story. You'll have to choose how to interact with all the group members and maybe even develop a romance with one of them. If you're a fan of visual novels, A Tale of Crowns and Peachleaf Valley: Seeds of Love are also worth looking at.
Characters
All the characters in Dawn Chorus are animals, presented in humanoid form. They include a bear, a tiger and various other furry creatures. They’re cleverly drawn, and their physical appearances fit well with their respective species.

Dawn Chorus won us over with its great art style. It manages to combine animal characteristics and the human form without making the result overly cartoonish.
The nonlinear gameplay takes you back to the old role-playing books where you would skip to specific pages depending on the decision you make. This game is a fantastic pick if you’re looking for a wholesome, non-linear story with romance.
