Scp-087 and the Grand Canyon? A Case Study on Alien Abduction

It is currently believed that there are two different types of creatures that call themselves "SCP" and they are both responsible for the containment of the Site-xi virtual world. The Foundation believes that neither of these creatures are real and that they are the result of a cross-breeding experiment gone terribly wrong in the containment facility that ended in the death of an employee, Dr. Morris J. Green. Dr. Green's untimely death was actually the catalyst to the Foundation's current mission of containing the virtual reality known as Site-xi. In the course of their investigation, the Foundation discovered the existence of the two different virtual environments, and through a process of viral transfer (but was unable to identify the source), the Foundation was able to isolate and contain the unknown creatures.

While the Foundation believes that the two creatures are separate entities, they are not necessarily sure. On the other hand, the Foundation also cannot seem to identify the origins of the two entities either, and the only real way to figure out the relationship is through an examination of the virtual environments. If the Foundation were to discover that both Dr. Green and the deceased victim of the viral outbreak were, in fact, one and the same individual, then we would have found an instance of genetic duplications within the Foundation itself. The same theory could also explain the similarities between the two scp-087 samples found in the containment facility, and it would explain the similarities between the two photos of the staircase located in Site-xi. If the theory is correct, then we may see the first attempt at containment of a viral organism, and it is possible that containment procedures were not followed due to the speed of the viral spread. It is also possible that the Foundation was attempting to contain a creature that simply escaped containment too.

The Foundation has been looking for a proper method of containing these creatures, but despite their best efforts, they are not optimistic. For now, they have been searching for a method that involves the use of photos with a focus on the eyes, and this is where the current project comes in. The project is still at an early stage, and currently there is no clear idea as to whether or not scp-087 or any other specimen of the Foundation's biological marvels, such as a member of the human species, will trigger a genetic memory and cause the creatures to go back to the containment facility. With enough information gathering and analyzing, hopefully we will learn some more about the Foundation's projects soon.
