MotoGP: Ultimate Racing Technology 3, or simply MotoGP 3, is an online motorcycle video game based on the highly popular professional motorcycle racing sport. Like its predecessors, it is developed by the Italian gaming company, Sega. It is virtually similar to previous versions of MotoGP but features a new layout and the title screen has been completely redesigned.
Like any other racing game, you can play it single player and there are a variety of tracks to race over, as well as a selection of bikes to choose from. You can also take on the challenge of competing against an authentic circuit or you can participate in the numerous cups and Challenges. The game offers a choice between two different control methods, namely joystick and keyboard controls. In addition to controlling the motorcycle, you will use the mouse to adjust your bike, speed and traction. You can accelerate by simply pressing down on the left key and brake by pressing the right key. Some tracks feature obstacles such as jumps and barriers and these will cause you to lose traction and accelerate/decelerate automatically.
If you are new to the series, you should read some of the articles within this website to familiarize yourself with the inclusions, names and functions of each of the tools that are available to you. Within the game, you will see a list of bike parts that you can change, along with pictures and videos depicting how to do so. The Thq page provides you with a tutorial of the tools and options that are available, and the MotoGP Ultimate Racing Technology 3 page explains what each tool does. If you want to play the game online, you will be able to log into the official ThQ site, register and download the game. It runs smoothly on both Windows PCs and Macintosh computers.
