Battle royale game
Last Man Standing is a game that gives you a straightforward task of fighting your opponents until you’re the last one alive. However, it adds elements of stealth and mind play that makes it stand out from the competition.
MMOs and shooters are the most popular names in the modern gaming world. With the advent of titles such as PUBG and Battlegrounds, more people want to kill their friends in multiplayer virtual environments. Last Man Standing switches things up a bit with its take on the genre.
A new take
Gameplay
This free game places you in a world packed with harmless NPCs walking around, all of whom look precisely the same. However, one or more of your opponents hide among them, looking for a chance to kill you.
Your goal is to find the other players first and remove them instead. To do so, you’ll need to employ some strategic thinking and keep your eyes wide open. The developer made sure that acting like an NPC isn’t easy, adding a challenging element to the gameplay.
You can play this game with up to 15 opponents and add as many as 64 NPCs to the picture. Note that a server doesn’t exist yet, meaning that you’ll have to connect over IP.
Graphics
The game is still in early stages of development, making the graphics playable but far from impressive. The NPCs are white human figures walking around, the terrain consists of simplistic buildings and not much else, and the overall map is quite small.
You can’t customise your character, either, but that makes sense since the point is for everybody to look the same. Still, adding new killer moves in addition to the simple punch would make it more interesting.
Promising
This game is one to watch out for, but it’s still so new that it’s hard to tell how good it’ll be in the future. The concept is unique, but for now, the buggy interface, basic-level graphics, and limitations don’t let the innovative aspect shine through as much as they should.
