Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - A Video Game Review
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is an upcoming third-person action-adventure role-playing video game. It is inspired by the seventh Harry Potter book, and the seventh installment in the Harry Potter series. The game is being published by Electronic Arts, and it is in development at Electronic Arts Mobile Studios in Boston, Massachusetts. It will be published for Windows on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Portable, and iOS devices.
The game's story is set around 20 years after the events of the first Harry Potter book and will feature all the exciting action and adventure that has been known so far in the Harry Potter series. In this game Harry Potter and his friends are on a mission to rescue their friend, Sirius Black, who was taken prisoner and presumed dead by a Dark wizard. However, something else happened to Harry as he and his friends were trying to find their friend, and that is they had to save the world again, this time using a Time-Turner, which has the power to change the dates of certain events in the Harry Potter world, and if used properly could completely alter history.
One of the main features of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix that set it apart from previous video games is its use of a sandbox-style gameplay mechanic. Players are encouraged to go around the different locations of Harry Potter's home island of Hogwarts, and interact with every character present. This includes such beloved characters as Hermione Granger, Harry Potter himself, Ron Weasley, and their respective friends as well as non-playable characters such as Cho Chang, Padma Patil, Luna Lovegood, and Anthony Goldstein. As you can imagine, this is a highly interactive experience, and if you have never played a video game that features this type of gameplay, I highly recommend this title.
