Woe USB - How to Fix USB Errors on Windows Vista

The Woe USB wireless adapter doesn't work with Windows Vista or Windows 7 properly. I have tried to install on both Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows Vista Ultimate using the drivers from DriverCure, and the adapter never worked at all. This means that I can not connect to Woes USB wireless adapter, because it doesn't work in any of the modes I know how to use for Woes USB wireless adapters. You might be able to get it working with a third party USB Ethernet driver, but I don't have one, so this is quite disappointing. Besides, Woes wireless drivers are very much outdated now, they don't even update over the air (at least I don't see any updates for them anywhere on the web anymore), and they really are just not very reliable.
When I tried to uninstall the slacka drivers, it didn't remove them, they were only removed from the Program Files folder. I clicked Start, selected Control Panel, and then went to Network and Sharing, to check whether there were any programs installed that were using the same port as the slacka driver. When the "inetadpt" utility showed that there were no such programs, I just disabled the connection and then restarted my computer. It still did not work, so I had to uninstall the slacka drivers and reinstall them from the Woe USB driver package again, but it did not improve the situation at all.
I then turned to Woe USB for Vista, and followed some instructions given to me by the tech support guy there. The instructions gave me some hope, because they suggested that I could install Woe USB again by copying the whole Woe USB folder from the USB drive into my system's /flashrom folder and then installing the same drivers over the net as I had done with slacka. Well, the software worked perfectly, and I was able to uninstall the slacka drivers and reinstall the Woe USB driver in the net driver section of my PC. I have also added a new line to my antivirus system to allow me to automatically update my antivirus files, and the problem has gone away. So that is how I solved my Woe USB driver error in Vista. It worked so well that even my boss was impressed!
