Bejeweled - Game Review

Bejeweled, a game for the iPad was released last April, with a commercial produced by Hasbro. Bejeweled is an abstract tile matching game developed and released by PopCap Games. It's the first on the market, and also the first completely independent game to be released by PopCap under the title. Bejeweled features lots of colorful, full-color tiles that are used to line an over-flow gem grid to earn enough points to move on to the next level of the game, where they'll need to line up and square up gems of the opposite color to earn the most points possible.
To play, you'll need to line up all the gems in a row, using any color tile that matches the background color of your choice. Bejeweled features an all-original, full-fledged design, with many levels including a 'hidden' bonus feature where a different style of tile is used to line up the gems. This adds a great deal of fun to the game, as not everyone will know exactly what is going on at any given moment, making each puzzle game entirely different. There are many challenges and rewards for playing Bejeweled with a group of people, such as a multi-player game with friends, or even a single player game against the computer. You can even play Bejeweled in split screen mode using Microsoft's tablets, which works very well.
Bejeweled costs nothing to download - it's available through the iTunes Store in both iPhone and iPod versions, as well as on Windows mobile devices running Windows Vista. For those wanting to really enjoy Bejeweled, its best to buy the deluxe version. This gives you access to all nine puzzle types, as well as a ton of achievements and secrets to help you succeed. It also comes with a special "bejeweled" loading screen, where you can place your gems in the right slot to get bonus points. Bejeweled really does have everything you could possibly want and need to become the best gem slayer you know!
