Ranaremake is a remake of the classic late '80s game Ranarama where you play the role of Mervyn, a magician turned frog that must defeat the Black Warlocks and his army of ugly helpers. The game is set within a labyrinth of dungeons, where you search for treasure while destroying enemies along the way. Your weapons are guns and spells, which help you reveal hidden doors and blow apart both your enemies and obstacles. However, using spells depletes your energy, so you must strategically choose when to cast them.

Ranaremake offers improved graphics and effects compared to the original game. It has a similar feel to Citadel, a game I played on the Atari ST about 20 years ago. The game is complex and requires some time to get into, but once you do, the rewards are worth it. Take on ghosts, demons, wizards, and warlocks in this challenging platform game.
