Haunted Warehouse is a free VR horror game for Windows created by Digital Media House. It’s a genuinely heart-racing experience, with the average session lasting just a few minutes. It’s your job to figure out how to escape before a monster catches you.
Haunted Warehouse is right in line with the many unique horror games released by indie developers that we’ve come to know and love. This includes the chilling releases of Siren Head, Granny and Hello Neighbor. All of these games provide uneasy, yet thrilling, experiences.
Background
You’ve been captured, and now you’re trapped in a creepy, abandoned warehouse. You soon realize that you’re not alone. A creature has taken lives, and it won’t hesitate to take yours. The building is full of the remains of those who have tried to escape before you.
Gameplay
Haunted Warehouse drops you straight into a warehouse, where you’re guided through some basic controls. Afterwards, you can start exploring and trying to find your way out. You’ll need your torch, as the building is quite dark.
The ambience, combined with some chilling sights and eerie sounds, all make for a stomach-churning experience. Mix this in with immersive VR gameplay, and you’ve got a scary experience you won’t forget.
Be sure to collect barrels so that you can fuel the generator. You’ll find these barrels scattered around the warehouse. Otherwise, there’s no escape.
Be careful about making noise as well. You don’t want to alarm the monster.
Additional information
The developers made this VR game in Unity for the Oculus Rift and the Oculus Quest. It’s just over 250 MB in size. Also, the game is only available to play in English and in single-player. Bear in mind that the game is relatively short.
Feel the fear
Haunted Warehouse was designed for indie horror fans looking for unique gameplay. It’s a scary experience with a highly unsettling atmosphere. The game is well worth a playthrough. In fact, being a completely free game, there’s no reason not to give it a try if you have a computer that can run it.
