Final Fantasy 14 - A Game Review

Final Fantasy XIV is a highly successful MMORPG that has many loyal followers. It is one of the most comprehensive and balanced MMORPGs currently in the market. Square Enix has gone on to develop several sequels to Final Fantasy XIV and is now branching out into a series of browser games as well. The original Final Fantasy series is the series' mainstay and the player experience will remain consistently good. However, the game has seen a few drawbacks especially in the Windows operating system due to its reliance on the Windows server. Despite this, Final Fantasy XIV has enjoyed steady growth since it was first released and today it remains one of the most popular MMORPGs in the market.
While the game is very much alive, there are many improvements and additions that have been made since Final Fantasy XIV's initial release. One example is the game's leveling system. At the original release, the player could not level up until he reached Level 50. With the expansion pack Omega summons, the requirement for leveling up has been changed to that of a summoning master. Another notable improvement would be the game's graphics and visual effects. These have been improved both visually and by adding various features such as weather effects and particle effects.
If one only has the original release to play, Final Fantasy XIV now has versions for both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems, with a release for Linux being planned in the future. Although the game is available for a less expensive price than its original release, it is still a very heavy game and can take quite a while before one is completely level cap-equipped. Due to this, most players choose to stick with the free version and progress at their own pace. There are several add-ons that can be purchased to expand the capabilities of the game and make leveling and grinding for experience easier. This has made the game one of the most popular MMORPGs available on the market today.
