The AGT: America's Got Talent is based upon the hit-and-miss reality show featuring Kelly Clarkson, Jimmy Gulzar, and Randy Jackson. This reality series is a spin-off of the hugely popular, long-running reality show The X Factor. This reality show features eliminations from several celebrity shows across various platforms and has become one of the most popular ones on television. The third season of AGT: America's Got Talent is currently in the planning stages, and the network is looking for new talent to participate in the show.
The concept of the show is simple: two or more contestants are chosen and then given a series of auditions in which they act out a variety of different talent competitions, all under the guidance of a professional judge. Each week, the show takes a new talent and asks them to perform one of two different talent-based performances, usually one that uses their natural talents and one that use their acting skills to become something else (think of a sketch on American Idol). The actors on the show are typically chosen from a pool of talents that were recommended by an executive from within the company. These auditions are taped for later air at a later date.
When the auditions are chosen, they are then given a script explaining what will be asked for on stage. In order to make it more interesting for viewers, there is frequently a twist at the end of the performance, which gives the audience something to do and increases the level of excitement. There have been many memorable moments on stage, such as an emotional breakdown of one contestant, or a completely unintentional hilarious exchange of comedy between two contestants. Many people have become viral sensations from simply participating in one of the AGT: America's Got Talent auditions. A great example of this is a contestant who refused to sing a song in the finale because she felt it was too large and had too much guitar noise.
