Professional DIY data recovery software

Zero Assumption Recovery is a data recovery program created by Alexey V. Gubin. It restores lost files from damaged, formatted, or inaccessible drives. The software supports FAT, NTFS, ext2/3/4, and XFS file systems, focusing on thorough, do-it-yourself recovery for home users and small businesses.

Zero Assumption Recovery addresses common data loss situations such as accidental formatting, virus attacks, power issues, and corrupted partitions. It works with internal and external drives, USB storage, and memory cards. A free digital photo recovery mode helps retrieve JPEG and other camera image files without additional cost.

Advanced recovery for complex data loss

The software also includes RAID and NAS recovery support, along with tools for MBR damage and partition table repair. Its deep sector-level scanning analyzes raw data to rebuild files. However, the program has been discontinued and replaced by Klennet Recovery, which means it no longer receives updates to meet modern storage standards.

A legacy in data recovery

Zero Assumption Recovery built a solid reputation for persistent scanning and reliable results in complex data loss scenarios. Its broad file system compatibility and free image recovery feature add practical value. Although discontinued, it remains a noteworthy tool in the history of DIY data recovery software.
