WRC: World Rally Championship Game Review
Like any other title in the WRC series, WRC: World Rally Championship features the "Rally" and "Survival" modes, which are essentially the two major game modes. In either mode, players must complete tasks given to them by the game to move on to the next stage. There are many rally courses spread out across nine different countries, and each of these courses can be completed in either a friendly or competitive mode. In friendly mode, players take on the overall challenge of driving their trucks and other vehicles around the tracks, while trying to earn points throughout the course without going over the required target. In competitive mode, players take on the challenge of racing their trucks and other vehicles to earn the maximum score possible, as the current track's target score is continuously decreased.
WRC: World Rally Championship is developed by Slightly Mad Software, which is the maker of the popular Windows game, Dance Revolution: Hottest Party. The game runs smoothly on both the Xbox Live Arcade and the Windows XP service, and is one of the more reasonably priced Windows gaming consoles. It was only released for a short time during the 2021 season, but its popularity soon grew after it was featured in several gaming news publications.
