TwitterBar: Tweet directly from the Firefox address bar

TwitterBar is a simple Firefox add-on for Twitter that allows you to tweet URLs and more, directly from your Firefox address bar. As an add-on, TwitterBar’s configuration options are pretty simple. You can choose to open your Twitter account after posting, and toggle pre-tweeting confirmation. There’s also an option to change the text that automatically appears when you tweet a URL, and you can hide/unhide the TwitterBar button to make it even more discreet.

Surprisingly, for such a simple app, TwitterBar supports multiple accounts and has some nice features. You can specify what account you want to post to by typing "--@account_name" at the end of the tweet, and by hovering over the post button you can see how many characters you have left.

TwitterBar lets you tweet anything you post to the address bar, and not just the URL you are browsing. In all, it’s a nice add-on for Firefox, and if you keep your tweeting simple, it could be just the Twitter app you are looking for.
