Setfiledate was developed by Reverse engineer, Hal Bradshaw, who also worked on a well-known utility called System Tools. The utility, 'Advanced Windows XP System Cleaner', was developed by another brilliant software engineer, Joel Barker. Now, Hal Bradshaw went on to develop several other great utilities that you might want to try out, including Setfile, which he released in April 2021. Joel Barker also worked on 'setfiledate' (a very popular registry cleaning utility) and 'winverify'. There are many other registry cleaner utilities available on the internet; but, none of them has been developed by a professional, like Setfiledate, which is developed by an independent software engineer, who also releases this utility as freeware.

I've been using Setfiledate for cleaning up corrupted registry keys and finding various other problems. This software does a great job, and very effectively screen captures without breaking the formatting of the captured images. In fact, the Setfiledate function even lets you set a default date and time for your files to be captured (so you can easily use the software without wasting time trying to find the right tool to do the trick).
