Quick Translator is a free program for Android released from the System Maintenance series of apps, a part of the System Tools category of applications. The company, which develops Quick Translator is Osvaldo Porto. Quick Translate is basically a translator that allows you to translate any text in any language including the original language. It can also be used to translate files such as documents and music in a way that both the original language and the translated language are maintained. Like the other apps in this series it requires minimal in-app purchases and it is available for free on the Android Market.

Based on the original idea behind Quick Translate, the Windows version has been simplified to make it more user friendly. While the user interface for both the Quick Translate software is virtually the same, the primary difference is in the translation process. In case of the free application on the Android side, the original idea of converting text on the Android into a format compatible with the English language is implemented as a process called conversion to English.

The Quick Translate application works by browsing a document and translating each word in it one at a time. Once you finish this, the application will ask you to save the document. When using the Quick Translate application, it is obvious that the process is quicker as compared to the regular translation process. The process however does not work for all languages and sometimes it even makes the document incomprehensible to the reader. If you are planning to use Quick Translate on your Windows PC then you should install the software on your computer and allow it to scan your documents for you before starting the translation process.
