Inkbound: Tactical Turn-Based Online RPG
Inkbound is a turn-based RPG that offers an open-world environment in which players can battle online against challenging yet beautifully rendered enemies. This RPG offers both single-player and cooperative game modes. Created by the team at Shiny Shoe, who are responsible for the success of Monster Train, Inkbound ensures a quality overall gaming experience.
Players exist within a fictional realm known as Atheneum. Unlocking books associated with different mythical stories allows users to travel to different worlds and encounter unique challenges. With several character classes to choose from and a plethora of skills to equip, Inkbound offers a fair degree of resource farming within the levels themselves.
The co-op nature of Inkbound allows players to join teams of four when traversing different environments, obtaining even more power-ups. Becoming part of a team is often wise when fighting powerful opponents.
Inkbound's Gods and Relics update introduces new Aspects, the Chainbreaker and the Godkeeper, each with unique playstyles. It also revamps the power progression system with Vestige Sets, allowing players to collect matching Vestiges for bonuses. The update eliminates in-game monetization, offering cosmetics through gameplay or optional supporter packs on Steam.
Similar to Might and Magic Heroes VI, the fluid nature of Inkbound provides a great deal of excitement. Combined with highly detailed graphics and plenty of realms to explore, the end result is a game that is easily on par with other respected RPGs.
