A first-person perspective slasher game

Ghostrunner is a cyberpunk hack-and-slash game still in the works. The developers allowed for few sneak peeks into the gameplay after the original announcement, but as its release date approaches, the hype for the new title keeps growing.
Action-packed
Ghostrunner is an FFP slasher packed with hardcore action in a futuristic environment. You'll climb the tower housing the only humans who survived the apocalypse to get to the top and defeat your main enemy.
However, the violence begins as soon as you press play. The streets of the city are full of violence, with chaos threatening to consume the world. As the demo showed, the game uses one-hit-one-kill mechanics that make all fighting fast and intense.
The plot
You'll play as a blade warrior fighting with a katana. Your sword isn't your only weapon, though. You have fantastic skillsets and jaw-dropping reflexes that make the combat as exciting as it gets.
The game's official website doesn't reveal much about the story. The only details known so far are that the world is in a dystopian state and that it wasn't always like that. Life was better before the apocalypse.
As the protagonist, you'll have the task to climb the tower and find out what happened to the world. Like in DOOM Eternal and Deus Ex, you'll have to fight many smaller enemies until you reach the boss, with mature, gore-packed scenes marring your screen as you proceed.
Release and specifications
The game is supposed to become available on Stream later this year, although there's no official release date. It's supposed to be compatible with PS4, Xbox One, and Windows 10 PCs, meaning that players of all preferences will be able to have a try at it.
Amazing combat
From what the demos showed, the fantastic graphics and cyberpunk post-apocalyptic story are just icing on the cake. The real meat and potatoes lie in the combat capabilities, promising to bring even more excitement than what the trailer showed in the actual game. This title is one to keep an eye on.
