Ebook reader application
Screenshots
The ePUB Reader for Windows is a programme designed to allow you access to ePUB files on your computer. It also allows you to convert these files into PDF and JPG so that you can use them anywhere.
Dated user interface
The UI of the programme has a distinctively last century feel to it. The style is rather basic as well, but it is simple to navigate through. Unfortunately, when you are reading, there is no reader mode which is provided in other reading applications like Calibre.
Features
The software is limited in what it has available. Although it allows you to read the books you have downloaded, it fails to have a specific place to save them so they can be accessed easily. The JPG and PDF converter is fast. However, quality is mediocre.
Navigation
Navigating through the books is not as intuitive as it should be. You can only use your mouse scroller to browse. Also, to move between sections, you have to click on the chapter or part on the ever-present content page.
Limitations
Unfortunately, it cannot open and view files that are not ePUB. Most other readers like Calibre and Icecream allow you to open up different file types like Mobi and convert them. There is also no page-by-page mode.
When taking ePUB Reader vs. Calibre, it falls significantly short because you must pay for the Reader. If it provided some more utility, it might be worth the buy.
Low-value download
This programme is not worth computer space. It lacks basic features that free software programmes like Icecream provide. Also, without a proper reading mode, UI suffers greatly
With the difficulties in reading the book, the reading experience is sure to be unenjoyable. In all, ePUB reader has little value.
