A Roguelite Game Like No Other
The long-awaited Death Worm for iOS has finally arrived! Play through 13 progressively more challenging stages, unlocking new monster types and collecting all the hidden collectibles as you attempt to survive the terrible creatures on screen. Play with your mouse or touch screen, using a keyboard if necessary, and view the critically acclaimed roguelite game in all its glory from within the App Store. If you enjoyed the original version of this PC roguelite game on Windows Phone, you'll also enjoy playing the newer version on iOS as well. Game over all played time is reduced, but it's still a great time of non-stop action and exploration.
When you're not moving the game around like erotic maniacs, you can get into the more serious aspects of game play. You'll need to use your wits and perception to solve puzzles, and explore the many chambers of the tower. Each of these chambers contains one of Death Worm's many enemies, and each one can be turned into a potentially deadly situation if you're not careful. As you progress through the game, you'll learn more about the Death Worm, and the dangers that are presented if you take too much damage. When you're finally defeated, Death Worm will make a grand return, and you'll find yourself trapped in the dark under the earth with only your light source to guide you home.
This is a great example of how roguelite games can combine both the pure fun of randomised action with the depth and complexity of a truly interactive mini-game. Death Worm is a superb example of what a great roguelite game should be like, and its release on iOS with the help of a very faithful fan project makes that even more possible. If you love playing roguelite games but don't have any desire to dive head first into the randomly generated environment of a traditional roguelite game, there are a few great alternatives out there. One such game is the excellent Super Mega Worm, a game that has a wonderful roguelite style but also features some great iOS implementation. By combining the two you can get a truly engaging gaming experience, that focuses on speed instead of randomness.
