ZenMate VPN for Firefox bridges the gap between a basic VPN and a good browsing experience. Users should always have an Internet connection, preferably high-speed, and they must have a Windows firewall installed on their system. ZenMate is a simple program released as freeware from the Encrypware team, part of the suite of tools released by ZenCom, the parent company of ZenMate. ZenMate can be used in Windows Vista, XP and Mac OS X. ZenMate also offers a free trial, the only requirement for this.
To use ZenMate VPN in Firefox, simply go to the Tools menu or the Firefox main menu (usually located at the top left corner on the screen). From there, you can find an option called "Network settings", which requires the user to click on the appropriate button. A pop-up window will appear, displaying a list of various options, including the location in which you want to connect to. You can then select "VPN", selecting the appropriate location in which to unblock your Internet connection.
To use ZenMate in Firefox, simply launch ZenMate from the Start menu by clicking on the "ZenMate" icon, then ticking the "Connect to ZenMate VPN" button. Once the program has launched, you will be prompted to enter some personal information. You may choose to use an anonymous browsing mode, in which ZenMate will use a different Web address from the one displayed on the Internet connection's status bar. You can also pick a location in which to connect to ZenMate VPN. You can connect to several vpn servers and select the one that corresponds to your selected VPN server. Finally, make sure you have administrator privileges and allow ZenMate to create an account on your Firefox profile before you are able to use this VPN add-on.
