Sportening is a free sports news app for Android. Marketed as the app for true fans, Sportening lets you keep up to date with any news concerning your favourite sporting team. There is, however, one caveat; even though the app’s name is ‘Sportening’, and not Footballening, don’t expect to keep up with your favourite tennis stars or basketballers.

More than that, Sportening is essentially like a social media platform, but for all things European Football. The discussion feature of this app means that the banter never has to end. Issues
Unfortunately, the most recent update to the app prior to the writing of this review left the app largely useless to many fans. Fans complain that since the last update, they can no longer find their favourite teams and are instead furnished with a choice of a team from a meagre pool of eight. Since the entire app revolves around keeping up with your favourite team, the inability to do so renders the app useless.
