Max and the Magic Marker - Is it Really a Drm-Free Download?

Max & the Magic Marker are an educational platform game released for the Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, Apple iPhone, Macintosh, and Microsoft Windows. It was created by Press Start. The main character is Max, who finds himself in a magical version of his own universe. In order to rescue his father, he must conquer all the dungeons and bosses in the game, while also collecting stars, coins, hearts, letters, passwords, and other items.
The controls are simple: up and down controls move the character, left and right to switch between views (like the menus). There are no enemies or objectives in this game; you just move the camera and point it at the screen to view the objects you're after. The in-game minimap shows where the items are that you've collected, as well as any hearts or coins are nearby. To defeat a boss, you just have to beat it, and you can also pick up items in the level to give yourself an advantage.
I enjoyed this platform game quite a bit. My son was quite excited when he found out I had the opportunity to play it on the Nintendo DS. I have to admit though, that I was not very good at making Max run faster or higher. Perhaps a few more levels are needed to improve this aspect. Overall, this was a good drm-free download, with nice graphics and sound.
