Malayalam Hear2Read Voice is a dedicated text-to-speech application designed for reading Malayalam text aloud. This app utilizes a male voice database from the Hear2Read Indic Text To Speech (TTS) platform, enabling users to convert written Malayalam into synthetic speech. Upon installation, the TTS app learns from the voice database, which enhances its performance in generating audio output. However, it’s essential to note that if the voice app is uninstalled, it will also be removed from the Indic TTS app’s voice options.
The first release of this app has garnered feedback indicating areas for improvement, particularly in pronunciation accuracy. Specific letters like TA and TI may be pronounced softly, affecting clarity, while numbers in the range of 901 to 999 are frequently mispronounced. Furthermore, the app currently lacks dynamic speech modulation, resulting in a flat auditory experience. Users can contribute feedback via email, but responses to review comments may be limited.
