Galaxy on Fire 2 HD is a free arcade-style space shooter with sublime graphics, intuitive controls, and a well-crafted story. Playing the role of Keith T. Maxwell, you'll be called up on a space mission in which you must destroy enemy alien forces whose goal is to destroy all life in the galaxy. Galaxy on Fire 2 HD takes place 35 years in the future, when our protagonist finds himself catapulted into a spaceship because of a failure in his space-time system. As a result, you'll have to face harsh and epic battles for survival with interstellar, no holds barred combat.
The adventure has a strong narrative and the story evolves in an interesting way over the course of the game. You don’t simply fight; you must take on secondary missions (such as the collection of minerals in asteroids, for example) which allow you to get money for new ships or better equipment. The single-player game includes about 10 hours of play, but you can purchase two new missions in-app: Valkyrie and Supernova.
The ship in Galaxy on Fire HD 2 is controlled easily with the use of the accelerometer, while the touch buttons, especially for handling weapons, are well positioned and comfortable to use.
The graphics are extraordinary at the console level. In Galaxy on Fire 2 HD, galaxies are reproduced with careful attention to detail and the lighting effects are truly exceptional. The sound effects could be improved, especially for the shots.
