Free social app for Android
Fancast is a free social app for Android by developer Fancast. This app is tailored to K-Pop fans since they can participate in polls related to K-Pop. Every user can participate, vote, and create their own polls. Of course, there are official votes and a community section to communicate with fellow fans.
On most social platforms like Truth Social or Reddit, you can upload pictures, create a profile and share content with others. Fancast, however, is laser-focused on polls and K-Pop.
So much so, in fact, that it’s the official voting app for the 32nd Seoul Music Awards.
Fancast looks very nice on any Android device with a modern design. There are different sections, but everything is clear in its purpose. You can communicate with others in a specific section, check the billboard in another one, and so on.
A streamlined experience
Even though the systems in place are unique to this app, they feel very intuitive and easy to use. However, there are many complaints about people not being able to vote because of server issues from time to time.
It’s all about the voting
Fancast has everything you need when it comes to voting. There are song teasers, official voting, and more. As such, it has no intention to replace other social networks.
Your voting isn’t a mere act of expressing yourself. For example, the top-voted artists get into the Hall of Fame, and the outcome influences their status in the Seoul Music Awards.
You have certain features like music events from your favourite artists based on location and chatting with other fans. You can even send messages to the artist, but the focus is on making your artist come on top.
Good voting app but limited in scope
Fancast is a must for hardcore K-Pop fans looking to give a hand to their favourite artists. However, there’s little value to be found here outside of the niche. It’s a shame because the platform could be used for all kinds of fan polling, even beyond music.
It’s easy to see that a lot of thought was put into developing this software. This is a polling app, in essence, but it offers additional features to make it more interesting for potential users. With such a polished experience, it’s a pity that so many technical issues prevent people from actually using the app.
