Omori is a paid role-playing Windows game developed by Omocat, an independent studio. Introduced in 2020, it features anxiety and depression with a psycho horror element. Now the same team that produced Omori multiplayer is back with a Doom/Omori parody called Doomori.
This incarnation of the game turns Omori into an FPS (first-person shooter) game, similar to the Doom games and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. In Doomori, the action takes place in pixelated places with colourful characters and strong evil bosses. It’s a paid game in that the developers ask for donations ‘to keep food on the table’.
What dangers will you face?
As the character Omori, you’ll be armed only with a hand-held weapon to get out of sticky situations and stay alive. You’ll have to shoot and tear your way through an army of cute but dangerous critters in an otherworld that features a vast forest and black space.
You’ll survive if you eliminate some scary characters. You’ll have to be on guard and keep your finger on the trigger to defeat your enemies with fundamental Doomori shooting skills.
What’s the game’s purpose?
While you’re busy exploring a strange new world full of colourful friends and scary foes as the character Omori in Doomori, you’ll have to navigate your way through the mundane and the vibrant or exciting to uncover a forgotten past. Eventually, you’ll discover that the path you’ve chosen to follow will decide your fate and that of others too.
Graphics and gameplay
You’ll have a blast playing Doomori after being sad to see the last of Omori in the previous game. The concept of combining Omori with Doom is excellent. The artwork came in for a lot of praise, with some giving it a score of 10/10. You’ll be surprised at just how good the game is and look forward to a follow-up.
Stunning gameplay and action
Combining Omori with Doom was an inspired idea by Totally Fungal Devs that surprised the original game’s fans. The resulting game, Doomori, intrigued a lot of players who had sadly taken their leave of Omori after enjoying playing the game of that name.
The resulting FPS game has received some excellent reviews from pleased players who have praised everything from the idea to the graphics and the music.
