Mixing Borderlands and Infinity Blade
Death Dome is an action game mash-up of Borderlands graphics and Infinity Blade gameplay. On the surface, Death Dome looks like a simple clone of the Infinity Blade series. But as you progress through the game, the differences start to grow. The mission-based structure and upgrades allow you to become much more powerful and take breaks between battles.
The upgrades in Death Dome range from new weapons and shields or charms that help you gain new levels. Like most free-to-play games, the higher-powered items can only be purchased with in-game money which is easily bought with real dollars. Gameplay is very familiar. You swipe to parry, use on-screen buttons to dodge, and swipe to attack. Adding a new powered attack called Flux, you are able to attack with a higher damage count.
Graphics in Death Dome are cell-shaded and have a close relation to Borderlands, but the post-apocalyptic style fits the game very well. The animations are fluid and a lot of fun to watch. Death Dome may not change the core gameplay of Infinity Blade, but it does add a fun game to Android.
