Book Translator for PDF is a free translation app by Tricode. It allows you to upload a PDF file and translate it into various languages. You can import your PDF files in any of the supported languages and translate them quickly while seeing the original. If there’s only one sentence to translate, you can highlight it easily to get just this part of the text translated.

Book Translator for PDF lets you open the PDF files on your device and read them in full-screen mode with the button in the bottom-right corner. Using the lens symbol allows you to zoom in on the page you’re currently reading, and you can also zoom out. You can also pinch to zoom if you don’t want to use the buttons. You can swipe your finger up or down to scroll through the document.

User interface

The top-left button lets you see thumbnails of the pages to enable faster document navigation. Alternatively, you can enter a specific page number or use the up and down arrows next to the page number to move through it one page at a time.

Translating a PDF

When you want to translate a PDF file, you can translate the document, or select part of the text with your finger and then choose the language. The app will show you what you’ve highlighted, and a window will appear to show the translated version. This allows you to see the original version as well as the translated text and compare both versions. You can translate content into English, French, Russian, Chinese, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, German, and Arabic.

The various controls let you adjust the size of the page by zooming or going into full-screen mode. Moreover, you can quickly browse the pages of your PDF using the page controls. The translation is non-destructive for your PDF since it doesn’t modify the file’s text, it reads it and translates it into a new window.
