Free Xbox 360 emulator for Android
aX360e Free, developed by aenu, is an Android emulator that aims to run Xbox 360 games on mobile devices. Offered as a free, ad-supported version, it gives users access to a developing emulation project that currently supports a limited number of titles.
The app supports Xbox 360 game files in GOD and ISO formats, allowing users to load legally obtained backups. It is based on the arm64-backend branch of the Xenia emulator and incorporates code from the xenia-canary project, with optimizations for Android devices.
Xbox 360 emulation on mobile
To improve graphics performance, aX360e Free uses Vulkan acceleration on supported hardware. It also includes customizable on-screen controls, making it easier to adapt console-style gameplay to touchscreens.
The app does not include any game files, so users must provide their own content by exporting games from physical Xbox 360 discs and converting them into supported formats. Additionally, it is compatible with Android’s TalkBack feature, supporting users who rely on screen readers.
A work in progress with potential
