WiFi Ismall Utility - How To Use It?

WiFi Locator is a tiny utility which run silently in the background, monitors the operation of existing wireless networks around you, and identify the new activity. It displays the following data: SSID, Time, Age, Current Signal Strength, Relative Strength, Detection Counter, MAC Address, RSSI and much more. This tool also lets you set the frequency and range of your access point. For detailed information, just click on the 'Network' tab.

After running Windows WiFi small utility, let's try to use Wifi Locator again; you can do this by simply right clicking on the 'Local Area Connection' icon present in your desktop and choose 'scan'. In this window, you will find a button for selecting a network; choose the one you want to use. Now, click on the 'New Accesspoint' link to create your own WiFi connection. Let Windows detect your new network and your PC/laptop connect to it; you can see the details of your newly created network in the status bar at the bottom of your screen.

From the desktop, you can easily select the saved SSIDs in a specific group. Then, from the list of SSIDs, you can choose one of your choice and click on 'connect'. You must know that WiFi Locator doesn't need installation, and it's part of your system since it comes with the Windows Update tool.
