The Sims 4 is a single-player life simulation video game that focuses on creating and controlling a neighborhood of virtual people called Sims. This fourth installment in The Sims franchise offers comprehensive customization features, building tools, emotions, and traits. The upgrades aim to create Smarter Sims that have unique appearances, personalities, and behaviors, allowing you to be more creative when crafting a Sim. You can also create your own home from scratch through the game’s Build Mode. The Sims 4 for Mac OS X can be installed on computers with the Origin program and your Electronic Arts (EA) account.
Gameplay
The Sims 4 stands out from The Sims series that focuses on personality instead of capability. This allows you to create deep, rich, or comedic storylines. Dubbed as Smarter Sims, you can customize each playable character’s physical appearance, outfits, characteristics, skills, careers, and walk styles. Each of your Sims will experience a range of emotions that are driven by your actions and/or influenced by other Sims, events, or objects.
Emotions such as flirty, embarrassed, and tense offers new auctions and possible interactions. In this game, you can literally influence your Sim’s body and mind. Owning a Sim is similar to living your real life; you must work, live in a house, maintain your health, and be sociable. Build Mode is a separate set of customization features as it focuses more on creating a home and designing the inside.
Both the inside and outside of the home should meet the physical and mental needs of your Sim. For example, you made your Sim materialistic. This means you will need to purchase new items or redecorate the home when the Sim gets sad. You can sell your old items if you do not have space anymore.
